Suffolk Tourist Information

The fenland county of Suffolk is bordered by its North Sea coast to the east, Essex to the south, Cambridge to the west and Norfolk to the north. It is known for its coastal towns and fenland broads. The county town is Ipswich, the main industrial centre is the port of Felixstowe, with Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds being the other main towns. This county of flat fens is mostly agricultural, tourism is an important contributor to the local economy and the visitor is well catered for. The wetlands of the Broads being a magnet for those wishing to enjoy boating, nature and wildlife.
