West Yorkshire
West Yorkshire covers Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield - including Halifax, Haworth, Hebden Bridge, Huddersfield and Ilkley. An area associated with the industrial revolution and perhaps thought of as an industrial area in decline it is however an area of fine and interesting towns and vibrant cities. Bradford, a UNESCO City of Film, has a flourishing arts scene and Saltaire is a UNESCO world heritage site. The area offers good walking and cycling that is perhaps neglected by most, though it includes the popular area known as 'Bronte Country' there are areas with few visitors to spoil the experience the natural beauty of the moors and hills.
