The Six Dales Trail - 38 miles - between Otley abd Middleham - crosses the six dales - Wharfedale, Washburndale, Nidderdale, Colsterdale, Coverdale and Wensleydale - the trail varies from quiet steep pastures to high heather moorland, from stretches alongside fast-flowing rivers to stretches through the parkland surrounding the ruins of Jervaulx Abbey.
